Biography
Alba Mariné Villar was born in Ulldecona, Catalunya, in 1985. From an early age her artistic talents were evident: from an early age she excelled at school in subjects related to artistic expression, and she won various artistic competitions and awards. In 2010, Alba graduated from the University of Barcelona with a Fine Arts degree, having specialised in sculpture, as well as having studied painting, drawing and photography.
While at university, Alba began to focus on her future plans in the world of character creation, choosing electives such as portrait sculpture, modeling and painting. She always had a great interest in artistic makeup and creating special effects for film, theatre and television. She won the Erasmus scholarship to go to Perugia, Italy. While studying in Perugia, at the Accademia Pietro Vannucci, Alba participated in a performance where for the first time she was exposed to the world of artistic makeup, through a live bodypainting performance. While in Italy she also won the "Giugno in Art 2009 " contest in the category of sculpture and was a finalist in the category of painting .
After university Alba continued her artistic career as an arts manager in Edinburgh for 7 months with the European Voluntary Service. After returning to Barcelona, she finished a specialized MakeUp Artist course. Now, Alba is starting to work in the world of characterisation and FX for film, theater, television, events and advertising.
